How does the tour work?

On the evening of the event, please arrive at the starting point (side entrance of Neighbors Community Center, 450 North Prince Street, Lancaster, Pa.), between 4:45 and 6:15 p.m. to start the tour. You will receive a Taste the World passport, which includes a map and grants you access to the servings at the participating restaurants. You can plan the order of your stops, allowing a suggested minimum of 90 minutes to visit all the locations. At each restaurant, a greeter will welcome you, stamp your Taste the World passport, and give any specific instructions to receive your serving. We encourage you to take a look around, peek at the menu, and soak in the sights and aromas before heading off to the next destination. The tour ends at 8 p.m.

This is not a “sit-down” progressive meal. Because of limited seating and time, you may eat while standing inside or outside the restaurants, or while walking to your next destination. Feel free to buy drinks and other menu items (either take-out or sit-down, as space and time allow).

Where can I park?

There are parking garages and lots available throughout the downtown area, as well as free parking on some side streets. Metered street parking is free after 6 p.m. There is free limited parking in the lot next to our building (use spaces marked Hub450) and, after 5 p.m., in the Snavely & Dosch parking lot at 426 North Prince Street. Paid parking is available at the Queen Street Garage, one block over.

Is this a family friendly event?

Yes! The tours are appropriate for people of any age! Children three years of age and younger may share their family’s food and do not need a ticket. However, there is only one serving per passport at each eatery.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

The event will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. We do not offer refunds.

What can I do if I cannot use my ticket?

Tickets are transferable! Forward (or print out and give) your confirmation email to someone else to use. To avoid possible confusion and delay at starting point, we ask that you contact us at least 48 hours before the event to let us know name(s) of the person(s) who will be using your ticket(s).
